Serial numbers are a big help. The owner may be an employee of AEI, but he has two former Tree guys working for him that have 40 years of combined experience.

Jun 15, 2007· Hello folks, My new (to me) Tree mill is finally in my shop. It was totally rebuilt and rescrapped in '79, and by the lack of backlash in the table axes - 0.007 in the Y and 0.013 in the X - I believe it wasn't used very much after that, at least not for traditional milling.
