Sep 12, 2009ยท They don't mix clay with limestone around here I think you might mean the fines. We start off with a layer of 1-3 inch rock then finish with road base or what we call crusher run. The softer the ground the bigger the rock you will need for a base. This will cost more than just laying down a layer of 3/4 but it is the right way to do it.
